8BitDo has revealed the Arcade Controller Pro, which will be available to pre-order starting in September 2026. EVO 2026 attendees will be able to test the controller out this weekend.

The website provides more details about the controller:

Features
    • Compared to Arcade Controller, Arcade Controller Pro features smaller buttons and tighter spacing, creating a more compact layout that keeps every input within natural reach. Comfortable and easy to control through long play sessions.
    • 5 Programmable Buttons – Fast-map P1-P5 directly on the controller. The added P5 button expands your control options while leaving more room for natural left-hand movement.
    • 1.47-inch Display with Built-in Ultimate Software – View inputs, check battery status, and adjust essential settings directly on the built-in display. Clear, immediate, and always within reach.
    • Magnetic Wrist Rest – The magnetic wrist rest supports a more natural hand position on a desk or on your lap. It attaches securely when you need it and removes easily when you want a more compact setup.
    • Independent Control Panel – Essential controls, separated from the action buttons. Switch connection modes, adjust volume and display settings, or activate Tournament Lock with the turn-and-click dial.
    • Quick-Release Tempered Glass Faceplate – Press the release button on the back to lift the tempered glass faceplate and access the internal components with additional switches.
    • Complete Customization, Total Control – Adjust every aspect of your controller with the included parts — 3 spare switches and a switch puller inside the panel, plus 5 replaceable lock caps in the magnetic wrist rest. Fully swap, configure, and tailor your arcade experience.
    • Replaceable Lock Caps – Replace any P1-P5 button cap with a flat lock cap to prevent accidental presses. Five lock caps are included and stored inside the magnetic wrist rest.
    • Improved Button Caps – Install each round button cap from any orientation. Quick to fit, easy to replace, and held firmly beneath the tempered glass faceplate.
    • Dedicated Capture Button – Capture screenshots instantly on Switch with a dedicated function button.
    • Hot-Swappable Switches – Equipped with hot-swappable 8BitDo Core Green low-profile linear mechanical switches, co-developed with Kailh for fast actuation, quiet operation, and a smooth feel.
Three spare switches and a switch puller are stored inside the controller.
    • Cable Lock System and Dual USB-C Ports – The metal locking mechanism keeps the USB-C cable firmly in place, ensuring it stays secure during fast inputs, sudden movements, and high-pressure matches. Connect the cable from the top or side for charging and wired play—choose the route that fits your setup, reduces cable clutter, and gives you more space around your hands.

Lastly, the controller will support both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, as well as PC. A white variant will also release.
