Hinase Momoyama’s PARANORMASIGHT: File 25 – Reikan Shōjō Kurosuzu Mio no Kaigō (PARANORMASIGHT: File 25 – The Chance Encounter of Psychic Girl Mio Kurosuzu) spinoff manga is ending with the release of its second volume, according to retail listings in Japan. The second volume of PARANORMASIGHT: File 25 – Reikan Shōjō Kurosuzu Mio no Kaigō is listed to release on August 6.
Serving as an original story set after the events of PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, PARANORMASIGHT: File 25 – Reikan Shōjō Kurosuzu Mio no Kaigō launched on November 2 on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service. The staff of the original game worked with Momoyama to craft the story.
Fans can celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the PARANORMASIGHT series with new merchandise, including the PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo / The Mermaid’s Curse Official Guidebook. The guidebook contains a slew of information regarding both games, including character profiles, deep dives into various endings, and never-before-seen concepts. The book also contains a special interview with staff members, including the director, sound composer, and character designer of both games.
PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse is available now for Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon reviewed PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse and awarded it a 4/5 score, noting that the game is a “masterclass in atmosphere, successfully blending Japanese folklore with a ‘summer horror’ aesthetic that keeps you uneasy from beginning to end.”
