In a new stream commemorating the 10th anniversary of Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive outlined what fans can expect from the game’s future. The game’s future will kick off tomorrow on June 16, with the release of Jason Voorhees.
After the release of Jason, a new original survivor named Shane Wiigwaas, the game’s first indigenous survivor, will release on June 25. Additionally, in August, the first Chapter created entirely “in collaboration with the community,” will release. It is titled “Chorus of Sin.” Later, Art the Clown from the Terrifier movies will be added as a killer in November. In 2027, a new killer will be added, which will be based on the Dead by Daylight spin-off game, The Casting of Frank Stone.
Beyond the release of new killers and survivors, next year, a major visual upgrade to the game will release. It will add new animations and models for every character, improved map and environment details, and even dynamic weather effects. New voice lines for certain characters will also be present. Further, a 1v1 mode and “Zombie mode” are in development. There will also be new cosmetics for the Silent Hill killer and survivor, based on the Nurse from Silent Hill 2 and Shimizu Hinako from Silent Hill f. The latter will release on June 30, while the former won’t be available until 2027. New additions to The Walking Dead collection, which add Glenn and Negan via new cosmetics, will also release later this year and early next year. Lastly, a new Scooby Doo-themed collection will launch later this year.
Lastly, Dead by Daylight is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
