Nintendo and Monolith Soft have announced Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The digital version of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launches today in the Nintendo eShop with an upgrade pack, bringing locked 60 FPS support for docked mode at 4K and handheld mode at 1080p. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition also includes new racing modes, new rewards, new equipment designs, and new voice-overs for Heart-to-Heart scenes.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will receive Nintendo Switch 2 Editions on July 30 and December 3, respectively. Pre-orders for the upgrade packs are available now, and each Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will also bring new content for the respective games. Physical editions for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will release on July 30, October 1 and December 3, respectively.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is already available now. Final Weapon reviewed the Nintendo Switch version of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition and gave it a 4.5/5, noting that it’s “bigger and better than ever on Nintendo Switch. The numerous quality-of-life upgrades and additions make the experience even more satisfying, and there simply is nothing like roaming the world of Mira inside your Skell. Fans can also look forward to Xenoblade Genesis, the next game in the long-running Xenoblade series. Described as “a new beginning for the Xenoblade series,” Xenoblade Genesis will launch in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2.
