Capcom announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2. This version will be called Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, an expanded version of the original with a new region, classes, and more.

UPDATE: Capcom has announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will also release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for $49.99. Additionally, for those who already own the game, a Dark Arisen expansion will release on the same date for $30. In the lead-up to the release, an update is available today which makes fast travel more accessible with the addition of the reusable Eternal Ferrystone alongside other quality-of-life adjustments for various parts of gameplay. Another update will release at the end of August, which will bring improved frame rates, additional save slots, and further refinements to the quality-of-life adjustments made in June.

The Dark Arisen Expansion summons the Arisen to the long-abandoned Northern region of Norgan, where they must join forces with the enigmatic Eir to unravel the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon. Throughout their journey, the Arisen must unearth and appraise forgotten relics to unlock powerful new weapons and skills. The expansion also introduces 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges. These freshly uncovered dungeons house trials designed by the Pathfinder to sharpen the Arisen’s skills and recover rare equipment once held by past Arisen that now lay dormant. Arisen looking to tailor their appearance will also gain access to new options added to the robust Character Creator, including new hairstyles and tattoos.
