From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Season 2 will premiere on July 8 at 11:45 p.m. JST in the “IMAnimation W” programming block on TV Asahi and its affiliate channels in Japan. Amazon Prime Video will stream From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Season 2 worldwide.
Unicorn will perform the opening theme song “Kurenai no Ha (Crimson Leaf).”
Akio Kazumi directs From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Season 2 at Passione and Hayabusa Film. Kunihiko Okada is in charge of the series scripts. Moreover, Satsuki Hayasaka is the character designer and chief animation director. Yasaharu Takanashi is composing the anime’s music.

Shigeru Sagazaki launched the From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman light novel series in November 2020 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. Square Enix publishes the series with illustrations by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima.

Beryl Gardinant, a self-proclaimed “humble old man,” is a sword instructor at his dojo in a rural, backwater village.
