Kaiju No. 8 ‘Narumi’s Week at Work’ Anime Short Premieres in Fall 2026

The staff of the Kaiju No. 8 anime have announced that its new anime short, titled Narumi’s Week at Work, will premiere in fall 2026. The Narumi’s Week at Work short will feature a story by Kaiju No. 8: Relax spinoff manga creator Kizuku Watanabe. A new key visual for the short was also revealed.

Kōki Uchiyama will reprise his role of Gen Narumi.

The staff of Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 returns for the new anime short, including director Shigeyuki Miya, character designer and chief animation director Tetsuya Nishio, musical composer Yūta Bandō, 3D director Hayato Aragaki, editor Yuka Yamajō, and animation studio Production I.G.

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro.
