During Combo Breaker 2026, Bandai Namco announced that Yujiro Hanma from Keisuke Itagaki’s iconic Baki manga series will be the fourth Tekken 8 Season 3 DLC character. Yujiro Hanma will join the roster of Tekken 8 in early 2027.
Tekken 8 is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Season 3 Character Pass will bring Kunimitsu on May 27 in early access and June 1 for all players, followed by Bob in summer and Roger Jr. this fall.
Final Weapon previously reviewed Tekken 8 ahead of launch, noting that the game is “a perfect fighting game that hits almost all the important spots. The story mode is arguably the best in the franchise, having fantastic CGI cutscenes, emotional moments, and cool fights. The combat system is very strategic and forces players to use their resources wisely.”
Final Weapon had the chance to learn more about what’s in store for Baki’s next chapter by interviewing Yuki Yokoi, the Assistant General Manager of the Business IP Department at Akita Shoten. Yokoi has worked closely with the Baki title and its creator, Keisuke Itagaki, and 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the franchise. Our interview delves into these topics, along with Yokoi’s experience working with Itagaki, the outlook on the Baki franchise from the Japanese fandom, Baki 35th anniversary plans, and much more.
