Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 ‘The Lethe Below the Living’ Releases on June 1

HoYoverse has revealed that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 “The Lethe Below the Living” will release on June 1. The reveal livestream for the upcoming update unveiled more details about the new characters, story, and gameplay features fans can expect. 

The update will add Mortenax Blade, a new 5-star fire-based character. He can use his Ultimate, “Fornax Ex Corpore” to deploy a special Bounded Field and enter an enhanced state. The “Gift of Tempered Blade” event will also kick off. After unlocking Mortenax Blade, players can claim a brand-new Trailblaze Outfit piece, called “Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore,” for free.

Meanwhile, Yao Guang will have a rerun during the first-half Warps, while the second half will feature the limited return of Cyrene and Phainon. As for version events, the IPC is launching the “Wispae Amusement Park” within the World in Canvas. Finally, a new “Starward Mode” will be added to three challenge gameplay modes: Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow. Lastly, Honkai: Star Rail is available now for Android via Google Play Store, iOS via App Store, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games Store. HoYoverse previously released the Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 “So Laughed the Masses” update on April 22 with all-new limited 5-star characters Silver Wolf LV.999 and Evanescia, the Trailblazer’s unlockable Path of Elation, new story quests on Planarcadia, and so much more. In addition, HoYoverse teamed up with animation studio MAPPA to co-produce and release a new Honkai: Star Rail concept trailer, dubbed “Death in the Afternoon.”
