The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Kaori Mado’s You, Fireworks, and Our Promise (Kimi to Hanabi to Yakusoku to) novel series revealed a new trailer and key visual. The trailer reveals more cast and staff and previews the theme song “Kienai Hanabi (Eternal Fireworks)” by idol group timelesz. The film will screen in theaters on July 17.
Newly announced cast members include:
- Rie Takahashi as Haru
- Natsuko Yokosawa as Yukari Natsume
Shōri Satō of the idol group timelesz will star as the protagonist Makoto Natsume, and Nanoka Hara plays the heroine Aki Hayama.
Kei Suzuki is directing the film at Synergy SP and The Answer Studio, and Kōhei Mori wrote the screenplay. Yūji Watanabe handles the character design, Michihiko Umezawa planned and produced the project with Shinei Animation.
