The Steam page describes A Passing in the Night as follows:

In the dead of night, Kai wakes from a dream. Walk aimlessly in a surreal town among apparitions, to escape reality, to pass the time. Time only matters to the living. Will he face reality and hold onto his fading memories? Will he give up his heart in exchange for freedom from worldly pain? Or will he continue to wander in the darkness in search of answers?

A Passing in the Night is an adventure game about getting lost in a strange city.

A demon approaches Kai during a night walk, and gives him one hour to decide whether or not to give the demon his most precious memory in exchange for freedom from worldly pain. During this little time he is given, will Kai keep his memories and deal with the pain of waking life? Is it better to sacrifice what is precious to him and escape reality? Or will he continue to wander the streets, searching for answers in the dark where strange beings await him?

Immerse yourself in a third-person adventure in which you take a timed night walk. Explore a reactive and surreal neighborhood where reality bends and spirits lurk in the shadows. Converse with other lost wanderers and reclaim hope in a bleak world.
