Bandai Namco has announced that free-to-play Digimon mobile card game Digimon Alysion will launch in 2026 for Android and iOS. Ahead of the game’s launch this year, the official Digimon Alysion X (formerly Twitter) account will share more updates regarding the new game.
Bandai Namco first announced Digimon Alysion during Digimon Con 2025 alongside the ongoing Digimon Beatbreak anime series. Digimon Alysion will feature digital versions of Digimon Card Game cards called “DigiAly.” When the game launches in 2026, Digimon Alysion will bring an original cast of characters with their own teammate Digimon.
A Digimon Alysion closed beta test was also held in August 2025, giving fans an opportunity to test out in-game features and card battles. During the closed beta test, the developers evaluated the in-game systems and its server load while collecting feedback and impressions from the test’s 10,000 participants. Feedback from the closed beta test was collected in a survey, which helps shape the game’s development and ensure quality improvements are made before the official launch.
Bandai Namco and Media.Vision also announced a major DLC expansion for Digimon Story Time Stranger is coming in 2027. According to producer Ryosuke Hara, development of the Digimon Story Time Stranger expansion is underway, and Aegiomon voice actor Mutsumi Tamura will be working with the team once more. When asked about the story taking place in a parallel world or the future, Hara noted that this question was from an “excellent line of reasoning.”
