Forza Horizon 6 Has Gone Gold

Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 6 has officially gone gold and finished development prior to its release date on May 19. In a new blog post, the developers also revealed more of what to expect from the upcoming game. 

Forza Horizon 6 is now available for pre-load on Xbox Series X|S and PC. On Xbox Series X, you will need to have at least 135 GB of available storage, 130 GB on Xbox Series S, and on 160 GB and an SSD on PC. Additionally, Playground Games revealed that it will showcase the songs in each of the game’s following radios in the coming days:

  • Horizon Pulse
  • Horizon Bass Arena
  • Horizon Block Party
  • Horizon XS
  • Hospital Records
  • Gacha City Radio
  • Sub Pop Records
  • Horizon Wave
  • Horizon Opus

The game will also feature both Quality and Performance modes on Xbox Series X|S. On Xbox Series X, the Quality mode runs in native 4K resolution at 30fps with increased visual fidelity, while the Performance mode targets 4K resolution, scaling dynamically to maintain a smooth 60fps. For Xbox Series S, it will run at 1440p at 30fps with Quality mode, and 1080p at 60fps in Performance mode. 

Loyalty rewards for players of previous games has also been revealed. If it detects save files from the following, you will get a certain reward:

  • Forza Motorsport
    • 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray
  • Forza Horizon 5
    • 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE
  • Forza Horizon 4
    • 2016 Aston Martin Vulcan
  • Forza Horizon 3
    • 2016 Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4
  • Forza Horizon 2
    • 2014 Lamborghini Huracán LP-610-4
  • Forza Horizon
    • 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS

Lastly, Forza Horizon 6 launches May 19 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows (Microsoft Store) and Steam. A PlayStation 5 version is set to release at a later date, and Forza Horizon 6 will be available with Xbox Game Pass as well. With cross-play and cross-saves, Forza Horizon 6 players will be able to play together on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S while continuing their progress on whichever versions of the game they own.
