During the “404 Not Found at Shibuya Sakura Stage” event, 428: Shibuya Scramble executive producer Jiro Ishii announced the main cast of live-action-adventure game Shibuya Scramble Stories, which is being planned to release in 2028.
The main cast of Shibuya Scramble Stories includes:
- Kousei Amano as Kaiji Kayami, the Taxi Driver
- Yuuto Nakamura as Aren Ando, the Lawyer
- Fumio Kitagami as Midori Midosuji, the Journalist
- Masaru Matsuda as Ban Baba, the Man
- Yosuke Kubozuka as Gin Ginbara, the Novelist
Previously, 428: Shibuya Scramble actor Manami Ute was announced for the initial cast. Aya Kamiki also returns to perform the new game’s theme song.
Ishii is leading development of the new game alongside screenwriter Yukinori Kitajima, and it will be set in Shibuya just like its predecessor. The game features an “ensemble drama” system, which brings a synchronized story with multiple protagonists. Players will experience a multiple-perspective scenario and explore each character’s viewpoint.
Previously, Ishi shared a message regarding the new game, revealing that 428: Shibuya Scramble was created as a successor to Machi: Unmei no Kousaten. He expected that a game would eventually come to surpass both titles. However, no such game emerged, and Ishii approached various game companies about a follow-up project. Ultimately, Ishii and his team decided to develop the new game independently.
