Behaviour Interactive has announced that the 2v8 game mode will make its return to Dead by Daylight alongside an expanded collaboration with the Attack on Titan anime series on April 28. Running through May 19, the returning 2v8 game mode invites players back with some refinements and balance adjustments based on in-game data and player feedback.
The Attack on Titan Collection returns to Dead by Daylight with some new cosmetics, including the Attack Titan Legendary Outfit for The Trapper, Cleaning Levi Outfit for Jake Park, Mikasa’s Dark Uniform for Yui Kimura, and Sasha’s Uniform for Thalita Lyra. In addition, Survivors Renato Lyra, Adam Francis, Mikaela Reid, and Haddie Kaur will receive the Queen’s Ball Attire Outfit, while Feng Min and Meg Thomas get the Heart of Freedom Outfit. The Attack on Titan-themed lobby will also make its return. Fans can also complete a series of Quests in the returning 2v8 game mode to earn some loot, including an Attack on Titan Badge, Banner, and Charm.
The 2v8 game mode will bring introduce the adjusted Temple of Purgation and Ironworks of Misery maps in rotation, and there will be some mode-specific buffs and nerfs to two Killers. The Deathslinger’s buffs improve his overall effectiveness with reduced penalties when reloading and missing shots, and The Oni gets a slight nerf with an increased uptime reduction after successfully downing a Survivor in Demon Mode. There will also be some new Cage system updates to improve the Survivor experience. The bleed-out timer now pauses for a short time when a Cage relocates, and Cage relocation time has also been reduced.
