Utawarerumono: Lost Flag is Getting ‘Story Archives’ App After End of Service

The app could be getting new story content, too.

AQUAPLUS has announced that the Utawarerumono: Lost Flag mobile game will be getting a new app after the game’s shutdown, titled Utawarerumono Lost Flag Story Archives. The studio is currently considering adding new features and content, including stories and full voice-overs, to Story Archives. It’s unclear whether save data from the mobile game is required to determine the content and features that players will have access to.

Utawarerumono: Lost Flag will shut down on April 23 after more than six years of service in Japan for Android and iOS. All in-game purchases are disabled, and refunds for unused paid gems will be available from April 23 to July 13. An offline version of the game was not announced at the time of the end of service announcement, but AQUAPLUS notes that the decision to produce Utawarerumono Lost Flag Story Archives was made as a response to numerous requests from fans.

What’s more, DMM Games, Shiravune, and AQUAPLUS will release Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube worldwide with the English title Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered. Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered will release on May 28 for PC via Steam, day-and-date with the Japanese release for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. However, the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 versions were not confirmed for the west at the time of this writing.
