Magical Girl Witch Trials to Receive an English Localization

Re;AER and Acacia have announced that visual novel Magical Girl Witch Trials is getting an English, French, Spanish, and Korean localization. More updates and a release date for the localization of Magical Girl Witch Trials will be revealed at a later date.

Magical Girl Witch Trials launched on July 18, 2025 for PC via Steam in Japan. Magical Girl Witch Trials is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 9 physically and digitally in Japan.

On her first year of high school, Emma wakes up inside a dimly lit cage. Without any memory of how it happened, she finds herself locked away in a prison‑manor that exists on a remote island far out at sea.

Confused, Emma hears a lone owl speak to her: “You are accused of being a witch, a being that could cause harm in this world. As such, you will live here forever as a prisoner.”

And Emma is not alone. Other girls are also imprisoned. At one point, an owl gathers the imprisoned girls together and declares the start of a cruel game in which, from among the imprisoned girls, one by one they are selected to become a witch, or in other words, a person that will soon be executed…
