Digital Extremes has released the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Warframe alongside the new “The Shadowgrapher” update. The Shadowgrapher update introduces the new Follie Warframe, the “Follie’s Hunt” 4v1 co-op game mode, quality of life improvements, and the ability to replay The Old Peace quest.
The Switch 2 version of Warframe features mouse controls for menu navigation and combat, along with cross-saves and cross-play. The game runs at a locked 60 FPS at 1080p across handheld and docked modes with improved load times, textures, and shader quality. To celebrate the release on Switch 2, all players who log in to Warframe on the console before to April 15 will earn the exclusive Ambimanus Pack, featuring the Vericres Warfan weapon, the Akomeogi Warfan weapon skin, Slicing Feathers Stance Mod, Affinity/Credit boosters, and more.
Follie’s Hunt is Warframe’s take on the 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer survival horror match type. Four players are up against Follie, who stalks players with inky abilities. Players must complete unfinished paintings across the ruins of Vesper Relay by seeking out pools of colored ink and transferring it to the canvases. In combat, players can use Follie to disappear into an inky canvas and reappear, inflicting the Inkblot debuff on nearby enemies. Players can customize an entire book of drawings in the Sketchbook before battle and bring one to life mid-mission for a tactical advantage, and Follie is also able to summon a self-portrait ink doppelganger that redirect damage from the player to itself and applies Inkblot onto nearby enemies.
Warframe is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
