One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda has teased the secret of what the One Piece is and what’s next for Monkey D. Luffy. In a new video, creator Oda writes down the secret, which is subsequently placed in a chest and dropped to bottom of the ocean, leading many One Piece fans to speculate about what this tease could entail.
In addition, the wraparound jacket band for the 114th compiled book volume of the One Piece manga confirmed that the series reached 600 million copies published worldwide. 450 million copies were published in Japan, with the remaining 150 million copies being published outside Japan.
Crunchyroll will stream the final batch of English dub episodes for One Piece Egghead Arc starting March 24 ahead of the Elbaph Arc premiere on April 5. The latest round of English dub releases for Egghead Arc covers episodes 1144 through 1155 as the series shifts to a seasonal format. The anime will continue streaming on Crunchyroll in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
As previously announced in October, the One Piece Elbaph arc anime will air with a new two-cour structure featuring a maximum of 26 episodes. This change to the seasonal model aims to bring improvements in story pacing and animation quality. Once the Egghead arc concludes this year, One Piece will go on a three-month hiatus from January to March 2026. Among one of the anime’s new cast additions is Kenjiro Tsuda, who voices Shamrock—the Figarland family leader and twin brother of pirate Shanks in the One Piece world.
The One Piece manga has been serialized since July 1997, and fans can read the One Piece manga weekly on VIZ Media and Manga Plus in English.
