EA has announced that a collaboration event based on the Gundam franchise will be available in Apex Legends on March 10. The event will feature new cosmetics, weapons, and more.
As part of the event, the Wildcard map will feature a new Gundam theming. You’ll be able to climb the wreckage of Mobile Suits, grab the Buster Rifle from care packages, use Bit Staves as shields, and utilize new themed abilities. The abilities in question are as follows:
- Epyon’s Lash: Adds a magnetic melee pull Tactical ability, and more.
- Heavyarms Salvo: Marks enemies for air support missile strikes after landing multiple hits.
- Zero Sacrifice: Adds the option to trigger a self-destruct explosion on knock, taking nearby enemies with you.
- Zero Rebirth: Enter the Void when knocked, then exit with 1 HP, temporary invulnerability and health regen.
Further, the following Gundam cosmetics will be available for 8 playable characters:
- Alter: Gundam Epyon
- Conduit: Gundam Aerial
- Crypto: Freedom Gundam
- Gibby: Xi Gundam
- Mirage: Destiny Gundam Spec II
- Octane: GQuuuuuux
- Revenant: Gundam Deathscythe Hell
- Valkyrie: Wing Gundam Zero

Recently, EA and Respawn Entertainment announced that it will end support for the Nintendo Switch version of Apex Legends and shutting it down on August 4, the same day that Season 30 launches. Service and operations for Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC will continue unabated. Season 29 will be the final season for the Switch version.
