The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon UNITE will add Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr at a later date. Additionally, Articuno and Moltres will also release later, with Zapdos being available today.

Recently, The Pokémon Company revealed the newest entry in the mainline franchise: Pokémon Winds and Waves, which will release in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2. The first trailer for both games teases new variants of Pikachu that wear unique costumes. While little details about the game’s central region are available, the first look teases jungles, beaches, lava areas, and the wide open sea.
It also teases that underwater areas may be fully explorable. Additionally, it reveals the three starters for both Winds and Waves. Browt is a grass chicken, Pombon is a fiery pomeranian, and Gecqua is a water gecko. More details about the region, unique Pokémon, and mechanics will surface at a later date.
