Anime platform Oshi announced that GATE 2: Tides of Conflict, the second season of the anime adaptation of Takumi Yanai’s GATE: The Self-Defense Forces Fight Like This in Another Land novel series, will premiere in 2027 on Japanese TV networks. Oshi also launched the anime’s “Fan Experience Campaign,” and fans can directly contribute to the production at the anime’s official website.

Takumi Yanai first released the novel in 2006 and 2009 on the Arcadia platform, before AlphaPolis picked it up in 2010. Alphapolis successfully published it in print in five volumes and five side story volumes from 2010 to 2015.
