Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Announced

Unknown Worlds Entertainment have announced that Subnautica – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Subnautica: Below Zero – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch on February 17. Players who already own the Nintendo Switch versions of Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero may upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 versions for free via an Upgrade Pack. 

Here’s a brief overview of the Nintendo Switch 2 versions, via Unknown Worlds Entertainment:

The Switch 2 version of Subnautica and Below Zero builds upon the original Subnautica experience! With enhanced resolution, a higher frame rate, and support for Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, you can descend back into the depths and adventure faster and smoother than ever before.

Subnautica and Below Zero’s improved performance for Switch 2 will support:

      • 1440p resolution with up to 60 fps when your Nintendo Switch 2 is connected to a compatible TV via your Nintendo Switch 2 Dock
      • 1080p resolution with up to 60 fps when playing handheld.

Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero are available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Android and iOS versions of Subnautica are available now, and the mobile versions of Subnautica: Below Zero will launch on March 10.
