Bandai Namco has announced CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS, a new “super action soccer” game launching in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. CAPTAIN TSUBASA 2: WORLD FIGHTERS is the biggest Captain Tsubasa game yet with 22 national teams, over 110 playable characters, more than 150 new moves, and much more. Players will create a character and join Tsubasa on their journey.

The new system pits goalkeeper against shooter, allowing both players to experience and counter jaw-dropping super shots and blocks from characters of the original series.
Yoichi Takahashi’s Captain Tsubasa manga series initially began in 1986. The series focuses on 11-year-old Tsubasa Ōzora, a talented soccer player who dreams of competing in the World Cup. The manga would go on to receive multiple anime adaptations, including Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc on Crunchyroll.
