There are “no concrete plans” for My Dress-Up Darling Season 3, according to the staff of the anime’s second season in an interview with AnimeAnime.jp. However, if the opportunity for My Dress-Up Darling Season 3 arises, production desk member Shōta Umehara notes that the team would like to “do it properly.”
My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 ran from July 5 to September 20, 2025, and the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll with English subs and dubs. Cast members from the first season returned in My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 to reprise their roles. New cast members for the second season include Ayumu Murase as Amane Himeno, Shōhei Komatsu as Shiki Kashiwagi, Maki Kawase as Asahi Ogata, and Mayuko Kazama as Miyako Honda.
Piki, a new group comprised of FRUITS ZIPPER member Karen Matsumoto and Cutie Street member Haruka Sakuraba, performs the ending theme song “Kawaii Kaiwai.” Spira Spica performs the opening theme song “Ao to Kirameki.”
The anime’s first season premiered in January 2022, consisting of 12 episodes, and can be watched on Crunchyroll. Shinichi Fukuda’s hit manga also inspired a live-action series, which aired in October 2024.
Lastly, here’s an overview of the series via Crunchyroll:
Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who aspires to become a kashirashi — a master craftsman who creates traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Although he’s enthusiastic about the craft, he’s unaware of the latest trends and struggles to fit in with his class. The popular kids — especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa — seem to live in a completely different world.
That all changes one day when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.
