In a recent financial update, Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds has surpassed 11 million sales as of December 31, 2025. The game initially released on February 28, 2025.

Recently, Capcom released the free title update 4 for the game. The update added the monstrous Gogmazios, a new event quest from Jin Dahaad, and new hunting exercises. Later in January 2026, a Steam stability patch will release. It will add additional optimization options, pre-sets, and improvements.

Further, according to Capcom, the following will release in February 2026:

In February 2026 Arch-tempered Arkveld swoops into the Forbidden Lands as the final Arch-tempered monster in Ver. 1.041. This update will also include the release of the winning community designs from the Original Weapon and Pendant Design contests. Hunters can celebrate the March 13 release of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection with a Palico armor modeled after the protagonist’s Palico Rudy and a special pendant. The update will also introduce a new Latin American Spanish voice option to the game, on top of additional stability updates for the Steam version of Monster Hunter Wilds. Stay tuned for an update on what to expect from Ver. 1.041 prior to its release in February next year.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Before launch, Final Weapon reviewed Monster Hunter Wilds and gave it a 4 out of 5 score, noting that the game is “a worthy follow-up to Capcom’s most successful game ever.” Currently, the release date for the next update in February 2026 is unknown. Capcom will likely reveal more details at a later date.
