Aniplex has announced that the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza Returns anime film will become the first anime to utilize the 1.43:1 aspect ratio when its IMAX screenings begin on February 6 in Tokyo and Osaka. A new trailer for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza Returns was released to give fans a preview of what the taller IMAX aspect ratio will look like.
This past November, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza Returns became the first Japanese film to earn over 100 billion yen ($644 million) worldwide. It also became the highest-grossing anime film of all time.
Haruo Sotozaki directed the film at studio ufotable. In addition, Akira Matsushima is the character designer and chief animation director. Further, Aimer performs the theme song “Taiyō ga Noboranai Sekai (A World Where the Sun Never Rises),” while LiSA performs the song “Zankoku no Yoru ni Kagayake (Shine in the Cruel Night).”
