A new anime sequel for the Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight series is currently in the works at Kinema Citrus. The franchise teased production of the new Revue Starlight anime with the name “Someday, ___ will reach someone.” What’s more, a new exhibition will celebrate the franchise’s ninth anniversary this summer.
The series began in April 2017 with a stage musical and TV anime project. Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight The LIVE ran in September 2017 as a “2.5 dimensional musical and live concert” in Tokyo. A 12-episode TV anime series premiered one year later in July 2018. Sentai Filmworks streaming the anime on HIDIVE with English subtitles and an English dub.
What’s more, Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight would go on to receive a new compilation film in August 2020. Titled Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Rondo Rondo Rondo, the anime film was delayed from its May 2020 opening due to the coronavirus pandemic at the time.
Bushiroad also announced that a new mobile game in the BanG Dream! series, titled BanG Dream! Our Notes, will release in 2026 for Android and iOS. BanG Dream! Our Notes will feature two new bands, millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!, in addition to the MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, and Mugendai Mewtype bands.
Moreover, the new BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA anime will premiere in summer 2026 on Tokyo MX. BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora, a new anime film based on the Ave Mujica -The Die is Cast- anime, will also premiere in fall 2026 in theaters in Japan. Ave Mujica will also be featured in Weiß Schwarz Online, a new single-player and online card game for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
