Kodansha and Zxima have announced MOCHI-O, a new “doomsday land defense adventure” game, will launch on January 19 for PC via Steam with English and Japanese language options. The Android and iOS versions of MOCHI-O will launch at a later date.

Handheld annihilation weapons to defeat invading enemies
Hold MOCHI-O in your right hand, aim at the enemy, and attack. Enemies you defeat will drop seeds.
As you accumulate experience gained from picking up the seeds, you will gain skills from random choices.
Strengthen your MOCHI-O in battle to destroy the approaching enemies and defend the defense line.
Throwing Seeds to Breed MOCHI-O
Spend the money you earn in battle to strengthen MOCHI-O.
You can also unlock weapons, which will give you an advantage in battle.
Giving seeds to MOCHI-O will increase its trust level and strengthen its status.
What is MOCHI-O?
A cute hamster……but a handy annihilation weapon for homeland defense.
The player’s mission is to raise MOCHI-O as a keeper and protect his country from foreign enemies.
The heartwarming dialogue between the characters is also a highlight of the game.

Zxima started game development as an independent developer in 2017.
He has released 10 games, including Parasite Days and Post-apocalypse Bakery.
His games are set in a tender post-apocalypse world, and feature game systems and a mysterious worldview created by his unique sensibility.
“Catastrophe Restaurant” won the Top 3 award at the Google Play Indie Games Festival 2022.
