Bandai Namco Filmworks has revealed a new teaser visual and comic promotional video for the TV anime adaptation of Yū Chiba’s Kindergarten WARS manga series. The anime’s official website also went live with the latest news from Jump Festa 2026.
Shinsuke Gomi directs the Kindergarten WARS anime at Sunrise. Junko Yamanaka is the character designer. The main cast of the anime adaptation includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita and Kentarō Kumagai as Doug. More cast and staff members will be revealed at a later date.
Chiba launched the manga series on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022. Shueisha published the manga’s 15th compiled book volume on August 4, and over 1.7 million copies are in circulation. Chiba’s Kindergarten WARS -LUKE- spinoff manga launched in November 2024 as a 180-page story about the character Luke.
Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website publishes the Kindergarten WARS manga digitally in English. Yen Press published the manga’s first volume physically this past April. Here’s an overview of the story, via Yen Press:
