Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.5 ‘To Be Fuel for the Night’ Update Launches December 30

HoYoverse has announced the Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.5 “To Be Fuel for the Night” update will launch on December 30. The new update marks the end of Zenless Zone Zero Season 2 with the arrival of Void Hunter Ye Shunguang, free S-Rank Ice Defense Agent Zhao, limited-time events, and more free rewards, including 1,000 Polychromes and a new outfit for Jane.

Ye Shunguang is the young senior disciple of Yunkui Summit, and as a dual-form Void Hunter, she can use the Honed Edge attribute and Enlightened Mind state to deal massive damage to foes and apply a vulnerability effect. Her side kick, Bangboo Sprout, can pepper enemies with flying swords. They’re joined by the unbeaten legend of Krampus, Zhao. Zhao can launch assaults with her massive weapon to suppress enemies, accumulate Frostbite, and trigger Ether Veil: Wellspring, granting powerful buffs for the entire squad. They’re abilities will prove especially useful in the main story, which sees depicts the final moments of Waifei Peninsula’s escalating crisis in Zenless Zone Zero Season 2.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.5 will also continue the story in the epilogue Sword Seeker Chronicles. An “investigation” showcases Ye Shunguang’s Bladeflash Mirage ability and offers exclusive rewards, including a brand-new W-Engine. Multiplayer combat arrives in the limited-time event Joint Investigation: The Divine Maze, where players team up in three-member squads to complete fast-paced cooperative challenges. The Proxy Outpost will allow players to join and create outputs, post or accept commissions, and experience a more connected New Eridu than ever before.

The new update introduces quality-of-life improvements for combat and progression. For example Agents Soldier 11, Grace, Soldier 0 – Anby, Ellen, and Burnice will be enhanced
with updated mechanics and performance boosts. There will also be improvements to Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault as well. along with a new sweep function for Combat Simulation stages that lets players consume Ether Batteries to instantly gather promotion materials and Drive Disc.

Zenless Zone Zero is available now for PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store. New players can dive right into the story of Version 2.5 through the Advance Screening feature.
