That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Anime’s 4th Season Will Run For Five Cours

The fourth season will air in April 2026.

Bandai Namco Filmworks just announced that the fourth season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime television anime will air in April 2026, and will run for a total run of five cours, with the first two cours airing continuously. The company also revealed a short video previewing the upcoming season.

Miho Okasaki will once again be reprising his role as Rimuru Tempest, the protagonist of the series. 8-bit will be animating the fourth season.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the anime, and FUNimation Entertainment streamed an English dub. In 2021, the second season premiered its first cours. After which, the television anime adaptation of Shiba’s spinoff manga, The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, premiered on Tokyo MX in April 2021. After The Slime Diaries ended, the second cours of the second season began in July 2021.

The That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond film opened in Japan in November 2022. The anime’s third season premiered in April 2024. The show aired for two continuous cours.

The second anime film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Blue Sea Arc will air in Japan on February 27, 2026. Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll will screen the film in theaters.

Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
