The staff of the There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine~ anime confirmed the anime’s January 1, 2026 TV premiere from 1:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan. The TV version of There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine~ will feature five episodes (episodes 13 to 17), and it will also be streaming on Anime Times, d Anime Store, and Lemino in Japan, according to the anime’s official website.
There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… ~Next Shine~ opened on November 21 in Japanese theaters, and the anime made its U.S. premiere at Anime Frontier 2025, which takes place from December 12 to 14 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Texas. The cast unit Quintet performs the anime’s theme song “Dear My Special Precious Marvelous Sweet Darlings.”
There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… premiered on July 7 and ran for 12 episodes, and the series is streaming on YouTube, Plex and other platforms. Akari Nanawo performed the opening theme song “Muri Muri Evolution (The Impossible Theory of Evolution),” and Philosophy no Dance performed the ending theme song “Mayocchauwa (I’m Confused).”
