Following The Game Awards 2025, CRKD announced the all-new Nitro Deck 2 for Nintendo Switch 2, and pre-orders now available ahead of shipping in spring 2026. The Nitro Deck 2 builds on the original Nitro Deck with a number of requested improvements and backwards compatibility with the original Switch and Switch OLED.

The Nitro Deck 2 features improved ergonomics and zero stick drift with the new CRKD CaptiStick Technology, along with a suite of customizable features. Instead of sliding into the shell, the Switch or Switch 2 can be set in place with a retractable locking mechanism that ensures a secure fit for a flexible, future-ready experience. What’s more, Bluetooth functionality lets players use the Nitro Deck 2 for Switch, Switch 2, PC, mobile, and Smart TV, thanks to the included centerpiece that converts the accessory into a dedicated pro-style controller.

The Nitro Deck 2 is built from the ground up as a major upgrade. The offset right thumbstick gives a more natural and ergonomic feel, and the sculpted contours have a better in-hand feel compared to the original Nitro Deck. The new CRKD CaptiStick Technology brings capacitor-based Thumbsticks, which are immune to magnetic interference and use a zero-contact design. The advanced sensor system maintains precision and low power consumption, and players can also adjust stick resistance to match their preferred feel.

The programmable Back Buttons are back and now include new L2 and R2 secondary Shoulder Buttons for more customization options. Stick Tops are still swappable and compatible with existing  CRKD Stick Top packs, and a new swappable D-Pad system debuts with two accessory packs and four styles in total, including an all-black and a metallic CRKD set. The triggers have also been upgraded to smooth, tactile Digital Triggers, and the Nitro Deck 2 includes a durable metal kickstand.

What’s more, the Nitro Deck 2 lets players use motion controls in supported games, and the adjustable rumble feature gives players more control over the impact they want to feel in gameplay. There are various options to fine-tune performance, including Adjustable Rumble, Deadzone Mode, Turbo Mode, and additional customization options. All of these features can be calibrated and adjusted in the CRKD app with CRKD CTRL, which also means that Nitro Deck 2 is part of the True Collection System.

Nitro Deck 2 is launching in White and Smoke Black with Metallic CRKD-colored thumbsticks. Each unit comes with the controller, centerpiece, legacy adapter, wired mode adapter, and charging cable.

Here’s the pricing breakdown:

  • Nitro Deck 2 — $99.99 USD / £89.99 GBP / €99.99 EUR
  • Nitro Deck 2 Hardshell Carry Case — $39.99 USD / £34.99 GBP / €39.99 EUR
