Nippon Ichi Software and developer Guruguru have announced Curse Warrior, a new dungeon crawler RPG for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The new title will launch on March 26, 2026 in Japan, according to the game’s official website.
In Curse Warrior, players explore the “Eclipse,” a large underground labyrinth full of curses. Players must keep track of the status of party members, since they will be cursed as they progress further. Important decisions must be made according to the curses afflicted on party members. Outside the labyrinth, players may rest in the town of Echoes, where the protagonist accepts small jobs from its residents and protects the people from monsters.
Before then, Nippon Ichi Software will release 3D action RPG Kyouran Makaism for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 on January 29, 2026 in Japan. The Nintendo Switch version costs 7,920 yen (tax included), while the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 versions cost 9,020 yen (tax included). A Limited Edition will be sold in Japan for 14,300 yen (Switch version costs 13,200 yen) featuring a special box, the soundtrack CD, and an art book. A western release was not announced yet, however.
The game’s staff includes veteran Disagea developers, including director Shunsuke Minowa, character designer Takehito Harada, and composer Tenpei Sato. In Kyouran Makaism, players are back in the familiar Netherworld, and they can pull off flashy techniques with simple controls. There are returning features from Disgaea, including over-leveling and the ability to reincarnate allies to make them grow stronger. Players can even pull off over a billion in damage.
