World Trigger Anime is Getting a Reboot

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the TV anime of Daisuke Ashihara’s World Trigger manga announced a “reboot project” for the anime is coming soon. A new official website has opened with a teaser visual and trailer, and more details about the World Trigger anime reboot will be revealed at Jump Festa 2026 on December 20 at 4:20 p.m. JST.

The first World Trigger anime from Toei Animation premiered in October 2014, and a second season premiered in October 2015. An English dub of the anime premiered in February 2020 in Crunchyroll, followed by the second season in January 2021. A third season premiered in October 2021, and Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime series as it aired in Japan. The second and third seasons also received an English dub.

Ashihara’s World Trigger manga entered serialized in 2013 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga entered multiple hiatuses due to Ashihara’s health, and the manga received 29 volumes thus far. VIZ Media and MANGA Plus publish the series in English digitally, and print volumes are available in English as well.
