A new article from Deadline has reported that Frederick E.O. Toye will join the upcoming God of War Prime Video series as a director. While Ronald D. Moore will serve as the series’ showrunner, Toye will direct the first two episodes.
Pre-production is officially underway in Vancouver, and two seasons of the series are in development. Furthermore, casting for the adaptation is underway. As it will focus more on the Norse saga of the God of War franchise, expect to hear news about the casting for Atreus and Kratos at a later date. Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with PlayStation Productions and Moore’s Tall Ship Productions, will produce the series.
Lastly, the most recent God of War game, God of War: Ragnarok, is available now on PC and PlayStation 5. The Steam page describes the game as follows:
