Ahead of holoday, the upcoming hololive x Twitch collaboration, Final Weapon had a chance to speak with Raora Panthera of hololive English about the event. In our exclusive interview, we dive into Raora’s plans for the event, her thoughts on Twitch, and what she’s looking forward to in 2026. The holoday collaboration is the first-ever official collaboration with Twitch for COVER Corporation and hololive. As one of the featured performers, what does it mean to you to be part of this milestone event?
Raora: I think it is really funny to jump onto another platform and try to find your own adventures. I am always down to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. Twitch is still one of the biggest platforms for live streaming, so I think it is important for us, if we want to expand and reach as many people as possible, to try new horizons and experiment a little with new platforms.
When I first heard about the Twitch live streams for hololive, I was really excited. hololive’s main home will always be YouTube. However, I think it is important to have chances like this where we can go on Twitch, participate in an event, and build a new community there. I had been looking for a chance to start my Twitch channel, and I finally had one, so I was really excited.
You mentioned Twitch being a big hub for streamers. It is exciting that your audience can grow, and you can build on an entirely different platform. Is there anything in particular you are excited about when it comes to adding a whole new community through a new platform?
Raora: I think as a content creator, it is important for me to try as many platforms and ideas as possible in order to gather new fans and let people discover me. A lot of people stream now, and it can be hard to get recognition. The best way to get your name out there is to try as many things as possible.
At the end of the day, staying in your comfort zone does not help you gain anything new. As a hololive member, I create new songs and participate in many events. Sharing those milestones with the Twitch community means I have the chance to reach new listeners, new fans, and new people who are willing to follow my journey in hololive. I think it is important to create a comfortable community everywhere. Some people do not watch live streams on YouTube, so they can catch me on Twitch. For viewers who cannot come to my Twitch channel, they can watch my VODs on YouTube. I try to be flexible for everyone.
Focusing on holoday, it is described as an internet festival instead of a standard live stream. For your participation in the event, what energy or approach are you bringing to your segment?
Raora: To be honest, I am really looking forward to playing games with all my girls and having a party together. hololive English always brings a lot of energy. We are enthusiastic and excited to try new things. If we do that together, it is definitely going to be fun.
We might do collabs and other things. I want us to bring the holoEN energy over to Twitch and show everyone what a good community we can be. Maybe some people know hololive but have never watched us before, and this could be the moment they start. We just want to bring a lot of joy to Twitch that day.
You have built performances, personality, and a fan base. What is your favorite aspect of interacting with your community and streaming with your friends?
Raora: One of the best things about hololive is that I had the opportunity to find a fan base and a community that supports me no matter what. They really show that they appreciate my hard work. They care about what I am trying to achieve and where I want to go in hololive. Seeing them interact with me is really fun.
It is not just me and my community. It is my community and I. We create jokes, we talk for hours about the same topics, and we get to know each other. They learn about me, but I also learn about them. I think that is the most important thing.
Looking beyond holoday and into 2026, what are you personally looking forward to, whether it is games or anything you want to experience with your community?
Raora: I am an art streamer, but I am also a gamer. I love to try all kinds of games, from my favorite series like Pokémon to niche titles or horror games. I do not stick to one category. I also love drawing on stream, so I am looking forward to a lot of art streams in the future. Honestly, all I want is to vibe and chill with my community and play games.
