Nintendo has revealed the first official look at the designs for Link and Zelda in the upcoming Legend of Zelda live-action film. The film will star Bo Bragason as Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link.

Link’s design features his iconic green tunic, minus the classic hat. He also has blonde hair, which separates him from previous designs in the franchise. Zelda has her blue outfit from Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, as well as her brown-haired look from Twilight Princess. Over the weekend, photos from the set of the upcoming film were leaked, hinting at the designs for Link and Zelda, plus the inclusion of a figure who appears to be Impa, played by Dichen Lachman.

In a statement alongside the reveal, Shigeru Miyamoto stated the following: “This is Miyamoto. Filming is underway for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda in a lush, natural setting, with Bo Bragason-san who will play Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san who will play Link. Filming is on track for the film’s release on May 7, 2027. It will take a while until the release, so we would be grateful if you would wait patiently and look forward to it”
