During the November 11 State of Play broadcast, Saroasis Studios announced free-to-play anime hero shooter Fate Trigger is coming to PlayStation consoles, and the game will enter Steam Early Access in Q1 2026. There’s a slew of new content planned for the upcoming PC and PlayStation versions of Fate Trigger, including new heroes (Awakeners), a new map, and much more.
A new trailer for Fate Trigger confirmed that the Early Access phase will bring two new heroes, including Fally and Tata and Bibi. Fally falls in the assault class, and she uses a new cloning ability that lets her control two characters at once with the “Twin Tactics” ability. Tata and Bibi are a defensive pair that can lock down territory with turrets that cling to any surface, and they can shield allies from incoming throwables.
What’s more, the new 2km x 2km Awakener Trial map, Blightfront, will be introduced. The map is designed for fast and intense combat, and its split by towering walls into interconnected zones with complex cover layouts and crossfire angles. The map has 13 unique urban areas with taller buildings and spacious interiors. Fans can also look forward to an “Easter Egg.”
Along with improvements from the betas, Fate Trigger will feature an option to select between dedicated servers for console players or cross-platform play with PC players. There will also be cross-platform progression with account level, friends list, characters, and skins syncing across every device. The user interface and controls have also been optimized for PlayStation with support for DualSense capabilities.
Fate Trigger is also coming soon to Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. In September 2024, Final Weapon had the opportunity to preview Fate Trigger and see what the battle royale game has to offer.
