Tsutomu’s Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki (The Middle-Aged Man Loves Cute Things) manga is getting a new TV anime adaptation in 2026, according to the anime’s newly opened X (formerly Twitter) account and official website. The Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki anime is being produced by LIDEN FILMS, the studio that recently animated the Call of the Night anime.
More details about the anime adaptation, including the main staff and cast, will be revealed at a later date. In the meantime, a new visual featuring protagonist Oji Mitsukawa and the “Pugtaro” character was released.
The Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki manga series is being serialized on Flex Comics’ COMIC Polaris website since 2017. Thus far, 11 compiled book volumes of the manga have been released as of February 14, 2025. The series inspired a five-episode TV drama series, which premiered on Japanese TV networks in August 2020.
