Recently, AMD released a new video in collaboration with PlayStation which focuses on the shared vision the two companies have in shaping the “future of gaming.” The video features a discussion between Jack Huynh, the senior vice president of AMD, and Mark Cerny, the architect behind the PlayStation 5.
Huynh provided an overview of the conversation via his Twitter/X account, stating that both Cerny and him focused on “the breakthroughs in hardware design, the rise of machine learning-driven experiences, and the innovations that will define the next decade of interactive entertainment.” Some of these topics included:
- Neural Arrays
- Radiance Cores
- Universal Compression
Further, he ends the overview by saying that “this isn’t just about technology. It’s about a partnership, a friendship, and a shared journey toward something extraordinary. Grateful for the trust, the friendship, and the game-changing future we’re building together.” It’s possible that these advancements will be brought to fruition with the PlayStation 6. Currently, PlayStation currently hasn’t revealed any new information on the console.
