Bethesda has announced the “Burning Springs” update for Fallout 76 will release on December 2. In addition, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Fallout 76 will launch in early 2026.
In Burning Springs, Fallout 76 players may explore a new desert biome located in post-nuclear Ohio, where an intelligent Super Mutant known as The Rust King rules over deathclaws and raiders. Players can head to a local watering hole to meet a gunslinger giving out Bounty Hunts—The Ghoul from the Fallout TV series on Prime Video. Complete Bounty Hunts to earn more daring challenges and earn rewards like caps, legendary items, and unique mods.
What’s more, there will be two new public events. Players can aid the Rust King’s Beastmaster and Deathclaws in “Gearing Up” and protect the citizens of Highwaytown from swarms of Radscorpions and Stingwings in “Sinkhole Solutions!.” All of this new content will be free in the Burning Springs update.
Bethesda also revealed that Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition launches on November 10 featuring the base game, all six official expansions, and over 150 Creation Club items, including unique weapons, Power Armor, Pip Boy Paint Jobs, and much more. In addition, Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, marking the franchise’s debut on Nintendo’s latest console.
Fans can also look forward to Fallout Season 2, which premieres on December 17 on Prime Video. The cast includes Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, Aaron Moten as Maximus, Walton Goggins as Cooper Howard/The Ghoul, Moises Arias as Norm MacClean, and Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacClean. Justin Theroux will also play the role of Robert House, or Mr. House, from Fallout: New Vegas. Macaulay Culkin is a guest star as well.
Lastly, Fallout 76 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
