Shueisha announced its MANGA Plus app will begin to simultaneously publish new manga from the Weekly Young Jump magazine worldwide, excluding Japan, Korea, and China. The stream of releases on MANGA Plus will begin with Yūji Ninomiya’s Bungo -unreal- series, which launched on October 8 in Japan in Weekly Young Jump.
Ninomiya’s Bungo -unreal- series is a sequel to the original Bungo baseball manga. In the new manga, the characters from Bungo have entered high school, and the story continues. Ninomiya launched the original Bungo manga in December 2014 and ended it in December 2024 before preparing the sequel. Shueisha published the manga’s 41st and final compiled book volume on April 17.
