Bandai Namco Filmworks announced that You Chiba’s Kindergarten WARS (Yōchien Wars) manga is getting a new TV anime series. To celebrate the announcement of the Kindergarten WARS anime, Chiba shared a new illustration (pictured above).
The main cast of the anime adaptation includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita and Kentarō Kumagai as Doug. More details about the cast and staff of the anime will be revealed at a later date, so stay tuned.
Chiba launched the manga series on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022. Shueisha published the manga’s 15th compiled book volume on August 4, and over 1.7 million copies are in circulation. Chiba’s Kindergarten WARS -LUKE- spinoff manga launched in November 2024 as a 180-page story about the character Luke.
Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website publishes the Kindergarten WARS manga digitally in English. Yen Press published the manga’s first volume physically this past April. Here’s an overview of the story, via Yen Press:
