The official website for the Blue Orchestra Season 2 anime announced new cast members for the anime and the ending theme song “Ao no Mahō (Blue Magic)” by ChoQMay. A new promotional video was also released to preview the opening theme song “Amadeus” by Galileo Galilei.
The new cast members include:
- Hiroshi Kamiya as Yūsuke Sakuma
- Makoto Kaneko as Toshiki Tsutsui
- Iori Saeki as Rika Tōgane
Blue Orchestra Season 2 premieres on October 5, and the anime will air for 21 episodes on the NHK Educational channel. Seiji Kishi directed the first season at Nippon Animation. Jun Sakata was the production supervisor and chief producer. Additionally, Yuuko Kakihara wrote the series scripts, and Kazuaki Morita was the character designer.
Makoto Akui launched the Blue Orchestra manga series in the MANGA One app by Shogakukan in 2017. The manga quickly rose in popularity and even won the Best Shonen Manga award at the 68th Shogakukan Manga Awards in January 2023. The first season of the anime series premiered on April 9, 2023 and aired for 24 episodes.
