The official website for the anime adaptation of Moto’o Nakanishi’s Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho novel series revealed new cast members for the Meiji Arc, which began with episode 22. In addition, the staff confirmed that Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho episodes 23 and 24 have been delayed to September 22 and September 29 due to production issues, respectively.
The new Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho Meiji Arc cast members include:
- Yumiri Hanamori as Kaneomi
- Toshiki Kumagai as Heikichi Utsugi
- Tomori Kusunoki as Himawari
- Yume Miyamoto as Jishibari
The anime’s main cast includes Taku Yashiro as Jinta, Reina Ueda as Suzune, and Saori Hayami as Shirayuki.
Alexandros performs the opening theme song “Ash,” while FAKE TYPE performs the new ending theme song “Enrin (Round Bell).” In addition, Kazuya Aiura is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. So begins this epic supernatural historical fantasy series that follows a demon hunter through his century-spanning journey from the Edo to Heisei periods—all-the-while questioning his wielding of a sword.
