One More Game has revealed that its upcoming co-op roguelite third-person shooter is set to enter early access in October 2025. Additionally, the final global playtest is now live through September 9. This final playtest, referred to as ‘Meat Lab 7’, follows July’s ‘Meat Lab 6’, and packs in a ton of new features.

One of these features is improving meta-progression systems, with SWAPMEAT now offering 27 pieces to unlock and experiment with. Additionally, respawns for multiplayer have been completely reworked, including new behaviors for respawn tokens. This is just the beginning of the new features and changes in ‘Meat Lab 7’, so be sure to head over to the official SWAPMEAT website to learn more.

SWAMPMEAT is set to launch in early access on PC via Steam in October 2025. The store page describes it as follows:

Welcome to SWAPMEAT: A fast-paced co-op roguelite shooter where you rip through alien worlds, harvest mutant body parts, and steal their powers to become the best version of yourself.

You’re the newest employee at Rangus Meats, a multi-galactic food conglomerate on a never-ending hunt for the perfect protein. Your mission? Drop onto hostile planets, harvest the locals, swap out your squishy parts, and survive long enough to file your expense report.

With every kill, steal new body parts—legs, torsos, or heads—and assimilate their abilities in real time to unlock wild new powers and unstoppable combinations.

Whether you’re solo or teamed up with coworkers (uh, “friends”), you’ll face brutal alien bosses, team-based challenges, and a meat grinder of strategic decisions that only get weirder with each planet you conquer.

Rip off appendages from fallen enemies and attach them to yourself mid-combat. Legs that triple-jump? A torso that drops turrets? A new brain? Why not. Inspired by games like Risk of Rain 2 and Helldivers 2, SWAPMEAT brings slick movement, explosive firefights, and chaos you can control—if you’re fast enough.
