SEGA has launched a new update for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis featuring a collaboration event with Koei Tecmo and Gust’s Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories
& The Envisioned Land. The update also marked the arrival of Alter Realm Exploration: Combat Sectors.
In Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, players can pull from AC Scratch Ticket: Atelier Yumia Style, which includes outfits, hairstyles, and weapon camos to transform into Yumia, Isla, Rutger, or Nina. The AC Scratch Ticket includes a variety of other items, including a Motion Change based on Yumia’s synthesis, Flammi Mag Form, and a Music Disc featuring the Wish-Weaving Workshop’s background music. During the collab period, players will receive limited-time login bonuses as well, including acrylic stands.
In Alter Realm Exploration: Combat Sectors, players travel into the realm to activate PSE Bursts and defeat the powerful High Enemies that spawn during the PSE Climaxes. Complete Extra Missions and Special Trials to earn powerful Player Ability Buffs. Unlike normal Combat Sectors, the PSE gauge is guaranteed to increase when a Trial is completed, so hit up lots of Trials to activate PSE Bursts.
The addition of the Alter Realm-based quest also marks the debut of new boss enemies High Rasetsu and High Val Zagga. Defeat these bosses and complete the new Limited-time Task to earn Euterpe- and Demodus-series PSO2-spec CAST Parts. Title Tasks are also coming with rewards like Titles, N-Augment Transfer Pass Vouchers, and N-Master Cubes.
Lastly, Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Windows, and Steam.
