A new trailer for the 29th Detective Conan anime film was released, confirming that it will open in Japan during Golden Week 2026. Moreover, the trailer confirms that Miyuki Sawashiro has been cast as Chihaya Hagiwara, replacing the late Atsuko Tanaka. Hagiwara is the leader of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police’s motorcycle division, and she was teased in the previous film.
Previously, TMS Entertainment began to stream more select episodes and movies of the Detective Conan anime on Crunchyroll and Netflix, starting August 21 with “Conan vs. The Black Organization” Part 2 and the Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine film on August 23. These Detective Conan episodes will feature a brand-new English dub for the anime.
Gōshō Aoyama’s manga made its debut in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in 1994. Lastly, VIZ Media releases the manga in English and describes it as follows:
